Feel sometimes like I’m being lazy. Feel like I should be DOING MORE.
God has made it very clear to me that I am doing life the way I am created to.
I am not created to act like………. (fill in the blanks with the name of the person you wish you could be like) dress like……………..eat like……………..play like………………..pray like……………worship like…………write like………….minister like………………Anything like………………….. God has told me on more than one occasion that I am operating as He wants me to.
When He asks me to do something, I do it, with very little fuss. (Not NO fuss, mind you, but very little) the reason, I am positive, is because I understand that He wants the best for me.
For the next three posts, I’ll delve into that just a bit deeper.
Join me in the discovery won’t you?
I know how you feel. I’ve felt the same way myself…a gazillion times. But…I found that the feeling that I wasn’t doing enough actually indicated that, in my inner self (subconscious/heart/whatever descriptive word) I actually believed that I had to earn my way with God. I wasn’t created to be irresponsible with what God had given me, but as I ‘leaned into’ and trusted His gentle waves of grace, I discovered that I was becoming more response-ABLE. It also comes in other forms: If I’m doing this…I should be doing that. And the religious hamster wheel goes round and round…

It’s amazing how much more energy we gain when we lean to the positive. Yes, we always will have some little fuss along the way, but it is still good to be leaning in the positive direction—in God’s direction.
