Mid Week Blessing

I don’t have anything really new for you today.

Only that which I try to encourage you with much of the time.

Stop listening to the negative voices that acost you every day.

Turn off the TV, and consider the following;

For that last one, fill in the blank with whatever you need.

This is who and what Father, Son, and Holy Spirit say about you.

You are stronger than you think.

You can do this.

Until next time …

All That Wander Are Not Lost

All that wander are not lost.

So I’ve heard it said.

It seems I’ve been wandering since the beginning of this COVID business.

Some of that wandering has lead me to places I am greatly familiar with.

Other wanderings have lead to places dark, and unknown.

In my wanderings I have seen and re-seen things I have noted before; in those same wanderings I have noticed things that I had either forgotten entirely, or had not known at all.

Some of my wanderings took me to places I never wanted to go; others to places light and airy, and free.

From some of those wanderings, I came away with a fog so thick that I had to sit and rest until it cleared.

Still at other times, they brought light to dark corners that I was unaware of, thereby shedding new light on my path.

Regardless of where your wanderings take you, I encourage you to be open, and ready to learn whatever is in front of you to learn.

Mostly, I encourage you to “Be not afraid”.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid. John 14:27.

I leave you with two questions to ask yourself during your current wanderings;

I usually use them during scripture reading, they are from a long time mentor – Graham Cooke.

“What does this mean?”

And

“What shall I do?”

Asking these questions has been helpful in my understanding of most, if not all, of my wanderings.

Until next time …

A Quiet Weekend Away

We got to spend a little time away this weekend.

We went to the village of Williams Bay, Wisconsin to the Conference Point Center. http://www.lgyc.org/retreats/conference-point-center/

It was a lovely place to be, as you will see. The Soderquist Lodge http://www.lgyc.org/soderquist-lodge/ was our home for the weekend.

At first glance.
Roughing it. Not.

We went to attend the Aglow International Southwestern Wisconsin 2020 Rising “SPRING” retreat.

Our friend Sandy was the speaker.

She spoke to us about how important our jobs are.

Even if they look small to us.

She encouraged us to Dream Small.

It’s the little things you do every day that matter.

Boy I needed to hear that one!

She encouraged us to do what we were created to do;

And reminded us that the ordinary stuff is not so ordinary after all.

The view from our room.
Within a stones throw!
Just a little walk.
Too bad we didn’t have a boat!
My guy is always silly!
So relaxing.
So peaceful.

Of course have no idea how many groups of people canceled their time at this amazing venue due to COVID19.

It was not nearly as crowded as would be normal.

Bad for them, but great for us.

Every single thing it seems, was there just for us.

Until next time …
