Friday Favorites – Day of the Week

My favorite day of the week, is Monday.

Bonus if it’s raining!

Unlike the famous Carpenter’s song “Rainy Days and Mondays”,

Rainy days and Mondays do not “get me down”.

I enjoy both.

Mondays around here are laundry days.

How about those fresh sheets!

Is there anything better than fresh sheets?

(Well besides a fresh start to your week?)

On laundry day the household achievement level is high.

Not only clean laundry, but the kitchen counter gets a fresh start getting rid of all of last weeks debris.

All over general clutter is again under control;

thereby making clear thinking possible.

Between loads of laundry,

Rainy days are a great reason to sit by the window;

A hot cup of coffee and a book in hand.

What do you think?

What is your favorite day of the week, and why?

Until next time …

  1. I look forward to worship time with others on Sunday morning. This past Sunday was a bit different, yet still a fulfilling moment to hear God’s Word. Our service was only available by live streaming from church to our homes. I am thankful for how technology can be used to keep people as safe and healthy as possible.

    • Our church live streamed as well. They do every week, but our church is well over the “250 people to a gathering” that was mandated by our Governor. It was almost like whispering in church when I found myself texting with some of the church leadership. I’m so happy that this opportunity is afforded to us. Yesterday I heard this time referred to as “Forced Shabat” or “Forced Sabbath”. Thinking of it this way helps a lot.

  2. My favorite day is Monday, too. It’s quieter than our crazy busy weekends and I feel like I get a minute to rest. Rainy days are wonderful, too, because then I don’t feel guilty if I just lay down and read for a while!
