Romans 4:18 Against all hope Abraham believed and so he became father of many nations, just as it had been said to him.
Romans 4:20 YET he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not YET have, we wait for it patiently.
Abraham did not have anything but Gods word to him.
He didn’t see the answer, nor could he see even how this word could possibly be accomplished.
How could he possibly be the father of many nations when he and his wife were so up in their ages?
Abrahams hope was in the YET.
He had not seen the answer YET.
YET really says –
It’s on the way. Don’t give up. Wait for it. Only believe.
In this Christmas season we see the stark difference of the greed/poverty mind-set, and the giving/lavish lifestyle of some.
We hear the clamor and the noise, all for want of more stuff and dig our selves deeper into debt and despair.
We have not received that which we are seeking.
Our souls desire the peace of an “O Holy Night”.
Unencumbered by all the entanglements.
God makes many promises to those who believe on His name.
Many promises if we follow Him.
If we believe in Him.
If we have hope in the YET.
God promises peace.
Regardless of circumstance.
His promise is peace that passes all understanding.
Don’t despair if you believe on Him, but don’t seem to have it YET.
It’s on the way. Don’t give up. Wait for it. Only believe.
Your hope is in the YET.
And so.
Fill in the blanks with whatever fits your life today.
Make it your prayer.
Then believe for the YET;
I don’t see ___________________ YET.
YET, I do not waver in my belief.
And so _______________________.
My hope is in the promise You made to me about _______________________________.
My hope is in the YET.
