Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
God was teaching you even before you were born.
Psalm 71:5-7 (NIV)
For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge.
God’s plan for you before you were born was for you to be His show and tell.
Psalm 139:12-14 (NIV)
Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
God made you perfectly, wonderfully, secretly.
Isaiah 49:1 (NIV)
[The Servant of the LORD] Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the LORD called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.
He knows your name.
