Short and sweet.
While driving today, I was listening to a podcast by Jentezen Franklin.
The entire listen was worth this.
We all want something.
We all need something.
Some times the thing we want isn’t what we need, and vice versa.
And some times the thing we need is right there with us all the time and we are unaware.
Jentezen told three stories, but the one that stuck with me is this one.
There was Jesus on the cross.
On each side of Him was a thief.
The Son of God; surrounded by thieves.
One recognized Him for who He was, and one did not.
Here’s the kicker; they were thieves.
The one on the left, the thief of the past.
The thief on the right, the thief of the future.
Jesus in the middle.
The only thing we need.
My interpretation; don’t hang out in the past, it’s already gone.
Don’t concern yourself with the future, you cannot control it.
Be present.
Be here.
See Jesus for what He is.
Let Him show you how to make the most of today while we still have it.
I’ll be right here, dwelling on this for a while.
Join me?
Until next time …
