About Deborah

Welcome to my place.  I live in the ever weather changing mid-west.  Hot one minute, freezing the next.  Bone dry or soggy wet.  Cloudy or blindingly sunny.  Don’t get me wrong though, I do love the seasons.  That’s the only change that is really easy for me.  The rest of the changes take a lot of process.

We live close to our two daughters, and seven grandchildren.

Our house has always been full of kids and animals.  These days find just we two, unless the children are visiting, it’s just us.

We keep very busy.  Each of us work with non-profits that we adore.  We both have hobbies too.  My hobbies are writing, taking photos, and reading. I also see myself being a soft place to land for those who are lost in the same jungle that I grew up in.  There is always so much to learn!

My husband loves helping others, and is always looking for ways to serve, through his non-profit and around the community.  We love to travel together to places both known and unknown.  We call this list “Yours, mine and ours”.  Works well for us. We are coming up on 43 years of marriage.

The difficulties my husband and I have come through have been in preparation for where I  we find ourselves now.  Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”  God has been the proof reader of this life that had only potential for a tragic end.  He alone knew better.

Without Jesus and my dear patient husband, I could not be this far.

My hope is that I might help you to find the way to rewrite your own story.

  1. Hello Deborah! I have known you forever and loved you and your heart for always. But life has taken us on separate journeys. It is so good to hear your inner thoughts and to know that you are a soft place to land. Thank you for sharing the journey that life has taken you on. The Lord has given us all the opportunity for great wisdom, but not all take it. I am so glad you did! I look forward to reading more about what you have learned through this journey we call life!
    Blessings, Denise

  4. Hi Deborah friendship is very important to me too and I also had a very hard Childhood, I will leave a link for you and perhaps you will also one day share your life story, God has already used mine to help others in a few ways even in understanding about His Love….. God does not cause us to suffer for any reason but He does use it for good in our lives.

  5. Hi Deborah after I left the last comment it worried me that with you being new to Blogging that I my have caused you to worry, but I just want to reassure you that there are mostly very caring Bloggers and you will enjoy the experience of giving and receiving on theirs and your Blog but to be honest I really wished some one had warned me about the others because even after Blogging in Australia for a long time I never experienced the abuse I have encountered in America except from Atheists but there are many more Blogs then in Australia so that may be the reason or I have just been fortunate, mostly people’s nature is the same world wide until they are in Christ Jesus and have His Nature.

When I read and commented on your message the first time, Deborah I was very excited, you have so much wisdom and understanding in regards to God’s Truth, I wanted to express this and tell you how thankful I was that our lives touched but I got sidetracked, anyway thanks again for your sharing and understanding and please feel free to delete our comments about moderating.

    Christian Love Anne.

    • I don’t worry too much. There is enough of that to go around. I do however care very much about how I make people feel. Growing up was tragic for me in that every one around me managed to make me feel worthless unless they wanted something.
I look forward to our friendship and how the Lord will help us to grow each other and those we come across.
      Prayers.
